8/27/18 This year we had the first forestry club meeting during the forestry club picnic. Shaina presented a club calendar of events.
9/5/18 Students participated in the Commitment Fair to sign up members.
9/12/18 First meeting of the year. Sophomore students gave a presentation on their summer jobs and activities.
9/22/18 Participated in the Franklin County Farm Fest in Shippensburg. Students demonstrated forestry tools to visitors and answered questions.
9/26 Regular meeting. Shaina presented on her summer work in Belize. She also shared food and drink. Alexa presented on her summer work on a Forest Service trail crew in Utah. Announcements of upcoming events. Shaina asked for more volunteers for committees and said that flannel shirts with embroidery would be a fundraiser. Next meeting 10/10

10/7 Walk in Penn’s Woods hike at Mont Alto State Park. Partnered with Friends of Mont Alto State Park. 13 people attended. Link.
10/10 Forestry Club meeting. The meeting was held after a federal jobs application workshop. Students were served pizza. Announcements.

10/22 A work afternoon for Mont Alto forestry students fencing riparian trees and shrubs for the Izaak Walton League and Mike Kusko, Franklin County presiden. A pizza dinner always draws a crowd!! From <https://www.facebook.com/groups/198445601485/>
11/1 Attended MD/DE SAF meeting at Allegany College of MD with four students. Linehan gave a brief presentation on how the forestry club works and what we do. Also participated in a panel discussion on forestry programs with ACM and WVU.
11/3 Students participated in a stream improvement project at Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve.
11/4 Participated in a tree planting project with the Alliance for the Bay at the Fayetteville Contractors site in Greencastle.
11/13 Forestry club meeting with pizza in room 204. AlumnusKayla Knauss gave a presentation on her work on trail-building at the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area in Montana
11/27 Presentation at the Library on
- Trip to the Redwood Country in California Derrick Wenrick and Brady Williams
- Trip to the Society of American Foresters Convention in Portland, OR by Shaina Walker, Alexa Rudisill, Cullen Cameron and Mark Stafford

12/4 Oak Road Cleanup followed by hot dog cookout with smores on campus.
12/13 Joint meeting with the Woodsmen Team. Wrap-up meeting during finals. Bon voyage, but not farewell to Alexa! Thinking ahead to the Spring term.
