Site one was the birch run reservoir. It was mainly a mixed growth forest. Lots of table mountain pine and European black alder. You could tell that at one time the land form was different then the way it looks now.
Site two was the chestnut plantation. It was a clear cut pine stand and has a chestnut plantation on the site also. The land was once a cleared out farm with little forest growth.
Site three was the Waynesboro reservoir. It’s grassy with a mixed hard wood forest. There are some pines that stick out that show at one time it was logged pretty hard at one time.
Site four was the South Mountain golf course. It’s a golf course middle of a mixed hardwood forest. Its next to a pine seed orchard.
