The Resident Evil series has been one of the most popular horror game series since the 1990’s. One of the more recent releases to the franchise has been Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which was released in 2017. This game is about a man known as Ethan Winters, who sets off on a journey to find his wife who has been missing for 3 years after he receives a random video message from her. He stumbles upon an old and seemingly abandoned home, but he quickly realizes he is not alone and is at the Bakers Residence. He finds his wife Mia, but it is clear that something is wrong with her. In order to save Mia and yourself, you must make your way through different sections of the Bakers House. You also must fight monsters know as “The Molded,” and members of the Baker family.

This game is truly horrifying. While playing, I found myself pausing frequently because of how scared I was to continue. The darkness, monsters, and unexpected jump-scares make this game a staple for any horror game fan. Besides the true horror aspects of this game, it presented players with an interesting story and like-able characters. If you buy the golden edition of the game you are able to view and play extra content such as “The End of Zoe,” “Nightmare,” “Ethan Must Die,” “21,” “Bedroom,” and a few more. Personally, this is one of my favorite games and I would recommend that every gamer play this game. I would rate this game a 10 out of 10.
