Hello reader and welcome to the Morrissey Music Blog! My name is Matt Morrissey (yes like the lead singer of the Smiths) and music is my passion. I grew up in a house of music lovers which instilled a passion for music into me from a young age. I even went to my first concert before I was born; a Pantera concert while my mother was pregnant with me. From then on my parents were constantly playing music and taking me to all kinds of concerts, from Metallica and Def Leopard to Wiz Khalifa and Key Glock. For my fourteenth birthday my parents bought me my first guitar, which I haven’t put down since. Having this musical background, as well as being a musician myself has given me a different perspective on music. I am able to sit down, dissect, and analyze any song, album, or artist, and I feel like this skill allows me to provide interesting commentary. I love the way music brings people together and I hope you enjoy what I have to say.
