Spring Semester: Equestrianism Part 2

For the following semester I intend to continue with the same blogging topic, equestrianism, because throughout the previous semester I always felt like I had more than enough content to chose from. I also really enjoyed talking about something I am passionate about and it made me realize just how much knowledge I have to share about this sport and these creatures that I fell in love with. After writing about this subject matter, I think that I have learned that it is better to choose a more specific topic rather than something broad. When a post is too broad, it is hard to explain the material in the correct word count. It also lends to the post not being specific enough or missing a major aspect that is important to the discussion.

Regarding the format of the blog, I plan on including more pictures because I think the posts with pictures are visually more interesting and help the reader to better grasp the topic. I will also continue to be aware of how the post is split up in order to avoid the “wall of text” and to maintain my own voice throughout the details I present. I think that the information becomes more meaningful and relevant when the reader feels as though they are not only learning something but getting to know the person behind the words.
