I never knew what a fanfare was until this course. I have heard the word a couple of times but was never familiar with it. I also thought they took small pieces from longer songs and put it as the intro to the movie. I didn’t realize that the fanfare was purposely for the movie.

I don’t have much of a musical background besides the fact that I used to play the piano for 5 years when I was younger.  I can still play a few songs but I forgot a lot about it after not playing for about 6 years.  I’m kinda familiar with classical music but not a great amount.  My favorite genres of music is Hip Hop/ Rap and Classic Rock.  I’ll listen to pretty much anything besides country music.  Some of my favorite artists include Andre 3000, Kid Cudi, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Eminem, Jay Z, and Kendrick Lamar.
