Aaron Rogers Has Not Been Vaccinated?

We all are familiar with Aaron Rogers, the star Quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Somehow, Rogers managed to conceal the fact that he has not been vaccinated. Throughout the entirety of the season, no one has caught on to the fact that he has not met the requirements that the rest of the team has followed. On November 3rd, Rogers tested positive for COVID-19, exposing his vaccination status.

Around August, Rogers told the press that he had been “immunized,” meaning that he has been exposed to the virus and has become immune in some sense. Although he never came flat out and said that he has been vaccinated, he implied that he was given that statement. When the news of his positive test released, the public realized that he had lied. Rogers believes it is a personal decision, and stated that some of the other team members are not vaccinated either.

Obviously, this is Rogers fault… but who else is to blame? The Green Bay Packers program should have been conducting extensive research to find out the status of vaccination as football is a high contact sport. Not only is this the fault of Rogers, but also the fault of the program for not confirming this fact. In my opinion, I see this as a very selfish lie. This is because of the amount of people players come in contact with. THOUSANDS. Rogers is around thousands of people daily, and still decided to selfishly conceal this status and testing positive for the virus.

Now what? As this is a very pressing issue in society, Rogers PR personnel as well as the Packers PR team have their work cut out for them. The situation needs to be handled in a respectful and responsible manner by simply owning up to the fact that Rogers lied. A big question is up for debate… Should Rogers be fined for this? Although it is extremely selfish and unfair, I personally do not believe he should be. At this moment, NFL players are not required to be vaccinated, but must be tested every day. So, was Rogers actually breaking any rules if he was being tested every day? Technically no, but it was still an irresponsible action. He should have been honest from the start.

Another question remains, will Rogers get vaccinated post-recovery from COVID-19? In my opinion, he should. In order to make up for his selfish lies, it would help the situation if he were to do the responsible thing… which is getting vaccinated.
