MDE Program

B.S. ENGINEERING – MULTIDISCIPLINARY ENGINEERING DESIGN (MDE)

Penn State developed The B.S Engineering degree with the Multidisciplinary Engineering Design option in response to the evolving needs of companies in the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond.   The first two years focus on foundational engineering coursework, which can be completed at Penn State Brandywine or Penn State Abington. The next two years of advanced engineering coursework are completed at the engineering facilities at Penn State Great Valley, where students will study engineering design with courses targetting electronics, robotics, mechanical, and manufacturing applications. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Multidisciplinary Engineering Design from The Pennsylvania State University College of Engineering.
