“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters in the end.”
– Ernest Hemmingway
What is the most important thing you have learned in this course? How do you feel about it?
I’m not sure if it was the most important thing I learned in this course but it certainly was the most interesting things I learned and that was learning about the Delphi process of evaluation. For our assignment, I actually used it with my lacrosse booster club to come up with fundraising ideas for the upcoming year. Since then, I have introduced my husband to it and he has used it with his sales team at his place of employment to do sales forecasting and planning. I am impressed at the “ease” of it, even though no form of evaluation is truly easy. I think it is a method I will proudly put in my toolbox to use in the future when I have the opportunity to use it. There are many things I learned in this course that I will take with me as I progress. I think the most important thing I learned is just the importance of evaluation and feedback in any given situation. This course has allowed me to learn the procedures and philosophies that go into evaluation.
