My lines to say in the script:

Image of Tim Piazza: In 2017, binge drinking led to the tragic death of a young 19-year-old student. The death was the cause of the consumption of large amounts of alcohol with a series of falls that resulted from the impairments from being intoxicated. The fall left him with a fractured skull and severe abdominal injuries. The results of drinking to the max on campus with the involvement of frats can lead to the worse accidents happening. Encouraging from those around you in party settings is one of the reasons for Piazza’s death.

Image of Ryan Burke: In 2018, the first person to plead guilty to being involved with Piazza’s death was Ryan Burke. Ryan was part of the Beta Theta Pi frat who claimed he did infact provide alcohol to the pledges and did so every 10 minutes. Which if one is aware, drinking multiple shots of vodka in a minute period can lead to intoxication fast, which results in blackouts. The entire frat is facing charges and violations, but Ryan Burke was the first to plead guilty to the charges. How does this look for the campus to have a frat that allowed such a horrific event to occur, and it took almost a year for there to be anyone to own up to such.

Anti Hazing Law and Good Samaritan law image: This law was then made and named after Tim Piazza. This law requires PA schools to have policies and reporting procedures in place to stop hazing and to inform students and parents of what is happening on campus. There is also a good samaritan law where you are allowed and encouraged to call if someone around you is in danger and under the influence and needs help. It not only protects the person who is in danger but it protects the person who calls as well. Which this then promotes and allows for people who see others who need help the comfort of not worrying about being in trouble, so they can then provide the help the person needs.

Image of John “Jack” Schoenig: Within recent times, October 25th 2019 the campus had a death of a nonstudent in a frat house. The University did not really seem to be as involved as they were with the death of a former student Tim Piazza, due to the fact that Jack was not a student, and also not on campus.  But their law explains no consumption, even if legal age, on and off-campus if you are a student. Understandably, you can see how Penn State seems like it’s not as important to announce due to the situation. But, in retrospect, jack was a student of another school who probably had similar codes to follow, and it seems that it is not looked into about who provided the alcohol and the punishment those who assisted in his overindulging behavior. So should the campus take more responsibility for the actions of students who are drinking excessively, whether they are apart of the Penn State happy valley community or not? Do they only care when their image is affected? And why are so many frats involved with being a source for tragic events and lives lost?
