Joseph Najem, Ph.D.

Joseph started as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Penn State on August 15, 2019. Prior to this position, as a postdoc, Joseph split his time between the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he led a collaborative NSF-funded research project focused on biomolecular neuromorphic devices. Joseph also spent a year as a postdoc at the University of Georgia where he focused on 3D printing methods to develop biomolecular materials. Joseph received his Ph.D. and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He also has a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese American University.
