Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages:

  • Revolutionize electronic products, procedures and applications
  • Beneficial in terms of energy sources ex. more effective and efficient energy storage products, energy-absorbing, energy-producing
  • Better manufacturing – stronger, more durable and lighter
  • Medically, potentially cure cancer, diabetes and prevent aging tissue

Disadvantages:

  • Loss of jobs
  • Crash of certain markets (including diamonds and oil)
  • Accessibility of atomic weapons – more powerful and destructive
  • Very expensive
  • Privacy issues

Learning

You can receive a taste of nanotechnology and better understand various aspects of it by downloading a couple of these free apps on your iphone found in this link:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/robotics-in-app-nanotechnology/id534160914?mt=8

It’s amazing what science brings to life.

Will nanotechnology be a failure or a success?

Revolutionary

The issue of nanotechnology is very controversially. There are religious people who will completely be against it due to the fact that not only does it obliterate our values and traditions but in a way, it also goes against God. Changing our bodies is deemed as “sinful” because this is how God created us and how we should remain. Furthermore, there is also the problem of security and how many of us will not appreciate having our personal information openly available.

What is Nanotechnology and Nanobots

Nanotechnology is the branch of technology that deals with the manipulation of matter on a molecular scale (100 nanometre). It is predicted to be the next “big thing” to occur just like the Internet and automobiles. It will significantly change our whole life, from our economy to the air we breathe.

Nanobots are self-propelled machines that can reproduce and self-rule themselves. With them we are able to destroy cancer cells and fix aging issue, which in essence will turn us immortal.

In no more than a quarter of a century (25 years), nonbiological intelligence (nanotechnology) will match human intelligence and then according to Moore’s law shortly after it will soar past human intellectual capacity.

One of the many things that could be expected includes: re-growing cells, tissues and whole organs without surgery.
