12×16: “When it hurts so bad” Recap

This episode of Grey’s Anatomy was pretty good, but overall, somewhat calm. Nothing life threatening happened, instead, the episode was more focused on romantic relationships. The episode started out with Meredith inviting Thorpe inside to her house, and they sleep together. The morning after, Maggie was in the bathroom when she heard Meredith screaming at Thorpe to get out. Maggie and Amelia freak out and kick Thorpe out, since they think he attacked Meredith. Thorpe tries to defend himself saying he didn’t do anything, but Meredith’s sisters quickly kick him out.

Meredith refuses to talk about what happened with Maggie and Amelia, but instead she forces them to clean the house and goes a little crazy with the cleaning. Alex comes over, thinking that there was some sort of crisis, but instead is roped into cleaning with the other three. Amelia and Maggie are talking about their guy problems with Owen and DeLuca. Maggie decides to go talk to DeLuca since he’s been acting weird lately. She goes to the hospital and confronts him, and DeLuca says he’s not okay with her being his boss, so they break up.

Meanwhile, Callie and Penny are in bed about to go to sleep (gross, I hate Penny), and Penny tells Callie that she loves her. Callie doesn’t know what to say, so she says “thank you” and it’s a really awkward moment.

The morning after, a nurse approaches Penny and tells her that Sofia, Callie and Arizona’s daughter, is in the ER. She says both Callie and Arizona were in surgery so she thought Penny should go be with Sofia while they get there. Penny panics, since Callie hasn’t introduced her to Sofia yet, but she goes anyway. She stitches Sofia up, and then Callie comes and she tells Penny that she didn’t introduce her to Sofia because Arizona wasn’t comfortable with it. Penny goes to Arizona and apologizes, saying that she didn’t mean to overstep her boundaries. Arizona is confused, and tells Penny that she never said she was uncomfortable with it, which means Callie lied to Penny. Arizona confronts Callie and tells her to leave her out of her business with her girlfriend, and that she’s tired of being in the middle of things. Callie apologizes to Penny, and they leave together with Sofia to get ice cream (ew).

Meredith and Alex talk, and she reveals that she freaked out with Thorpe because she thought of Derek after. We all can’t help but feel bad for Meredith and really sad over Derek’s death. She talks to Thorpe and explains what happened, and he tells her that he really likes her and he’s willing to wait until she is ready to date again.

There’s also lots of drama going on with the April and Jackson situation, since Catherine Avery, Jackson’s mom and Richard’s wife, is in town. She talks to April, making her think that she sympathizes with her and is on her side, but at the end of the episode she tells Jackson that they’re going to sue her.

Overall, this episode mostly focused on the doctors’ messy relationships and screwed up lives. It was a pretty good episode, even though I can’t help but wish some things turned out differently.

12×15: “I Am Not Waiting Anymore” Recap

The 15th episode of the season finally gave fans a much needed break from the gloom and doom of Grey’s Anatomy by giving us a (somewhat) lighthearted episode. Every Grey’s Anatomy fan is aware of the intense level of  dramatic moments orchestrated by the head show writer, Shonda Rhimes, so it’s always nice to get a little break from the craziness that is Shondaland.

The episode started with Meredith and Thorpe still talking, and Meredith contemplating what to say. They are interrupted by Maggie, who awkwardly says “Oh! You are the Thorpe.” Meredith tells her to leave, and she finally responds that she will go out to get drinks with him but she might change her mind. She goes inside to meet Alex and Maggie for a 12 hour long multiple transplant surgery.

Before that, she goes to the restroom where she meets Callie and they talk about dating again after being married. Callie says that at first it feels weird but then it feels really good to get back out there and meet new people. As Callie enters one of the stalls, Meredith thinks the conversation is over and leaves. Callie doesn’t know that Meredith left and instead Chief Bailey walked in. She continues talking about personal stuff, unaware that Bailey is standing outside listening looking really confused. It’s a really funny moment for us viewers since it highlighted the socially awkward and funny aspect of Callie’s personality we haven’t seen in a while. Once she exits the stall, she is embarrassed to discover that Meredith is gone and instead Bailey is out there.

Meanwhile during the transplant, Meredith keeps going back on forth on her decision to go out with Thorpe. She thinks that she’s not ready to do it but at the same time others keep telling her that it’s a good idea to get out there. Maggie and Alex get into an amusing debate over it while they are doing the transplant. Alex says that Meredith shouldn’t go out with Thorpe if she doesn’t want to, while Maggie is encouraging Meredith to go out with Thorpe since she thinks she is ready and she says Thorpe is good looking. There are some really funny interactions between Alex and Maggie, who keep bickering like little kids. They even make faces at each other while, Meredith isn’t looking, and she says “Stop it you two, I have three children, I know you’re making faces at each other.”

Meanwhile, things are tense between April and Jackson. They have a screaming match in the ER and it seems like they can’t come to an agreement. Arizona feels really guilty for what she did throughout the episode and goes to Callie, Bailey, and Amelia for help to try and get some advice to make things better with April, who is extremely mad at her. On the other hand, things are still tense between Owen and Riggs, but what’s new? I don’t think anyone cares about those two anymore.

Meredith finally decides to go out with Thorpe, but they don’t really go out. Instead, they get food from drive thru and eat in the car while they talk. It looks like both of them had a good time, so we’ll see what happens later on between those two.

Overall, I really liked this episode and I think most people did too. It showed the amusing side of Grey’s that we haven’t seen in a while, which probably means the next episode are going to make us cry.

12×14: “Odd Man Out” Recap

The 14th episode of the 12th season of Grey’s Anatomy had a good mixture of interesting surgical cases as well as the usual personal drama. The episode starts out with Richard noticing that the residents and attendings have all been pairing up for a long time now. Jo is working with Callie in Ortho, Penny is working with Meredith in General, Steph with Amelia in Neuro, and Ben with Jackson in Plastics. Richard decides that he needs to switch up the resident pairings, which makes things interesting for this episode.

Penny gets Amelia, who hates her for what happened with Derek, while Jo gets Meredith, who seems like she can’t stand her. Jo doesn’t want to be in Meredith’s service because she says Meredith treats her like crap, doesn’t take her seriously, and doesn’t support her relationship with Alex. Jo keeps whining about it to Steph, who tells her that she just needs to confront Meredith because she is tired of listening her talk about it.

Meredith is also conflicted about what to do with Dr. Thorpe. Apparently Thorpe has been calling and texting Meredith all day long asking her out, but Meredith ignored him. She tells Maggie and Callie that she’s planning on not going out with him. Maggie and Callie encourage her to give Thorpe a chance and tell her that eventually she has to get back there.

Meanwhile, Ben gets assigned to Arizona’s service, and they treat a pregnant woman with quadruplets. The woman is a tax attorney, and she gives Ben and Bailey advice on their taxes. This causes some tension between Ben and Bailey, since he is uncomfortable that Bailey makes a lot more money than him.

Arizona keeps asking April to tell Jackson or to let her at least run some tests on the baby but April refuses to do it. Arizona is really worried about April, so she talks to Alex in hopes that he’ll be able to convince her, and Alex says he’ll talk to her.

Jo finally confronts Meredith and yells at her that she doesn’t respect her and doesn’t take her seriously. Meredith doesn’t really react, but then after talking to Callie and Maggie, she realizes that maybe she hasn’t been fair to Jo. Meredith talks to Jo and says that she only acted that way because she is protective over Alex and she feels responsible for him. After that, Meredith goes outside and Thorpe is waiting for her. He asks her out again and the scene ends with Meredith contemplating what to answer.

April is still conflicted on whether to tell Jackson or not about the baby, since she doesn’t want Jackson to go through what he went through with Samuel. She finally decides to tell him, and goes looking for him. She opens the door to the lab and finds Arizona and Jackson talking. Jackson looks at her and he says, “So when were you planning on telling me you were pregnant.” April is shocked and looks at Arizona like she betrayed her. This was a really shocking moment for us viewers too since we didn’t expect Jackson to find out that way. All I know is that I’m sure we haven’t heard the end of this April/Jackson baby drama.

12×13: “All Eyez On Me” Recap

This episode of Grey’s Anatomy was heavily focused on surgeries, something that has been lacking in the previous episodes. You would think that Grey’s, a medical drama, would focus more on actual cases, but this season has been somewhat lacking in that department. This episode, however, had Callie, Meredith, Bailey, and Jackson perform a really cool surgery on an army veteran. The idea behind the surgery was to replace both of the guy’s legs and instead just make him have one leg. I don’t really have any medical knowledge so I’m not sure if this is even possible (it doesn’t seem so), but all I know is that apparently it has never been done before, it’s very risky, and the guy would die without this treatment.

The doctors go to a different hospital to treat the guy, and the Chief of Surgery greets them. Dr. Will Thorpe interrupts and says that he doesn’t think they should perform this dangerous and risky surgery on his patient, who has no chance of surviving. Callie interjects and says that they are confident that they can save this man and give him a chance at life. After they walk away, the doctors don’t seem as certain though. It seems like they were only able to practice one time instead of the multiple times they were supposed to since the patient was in critical condition.

Before the operation, they all stand in the scrub room and try to motivate each other to do well and be able to successfully complete the innovative surgery and save the guy. Callie gives a great analogy about how they all have to be squirrels, since squirrels store nuts for the winter, but they don’t do it all at once, and instead they do it one nut at a time. She says that everyone has their part to play, so everyone needs to handle their own nut. When they start operating, Callie realizes that the method of treatment she was going to use won’t be possible anymore. She starts to freak out because the guy is on the operating table and they don’t have a course of treatment. Dr. Bailey sees that Callie is starting to become overwhelmed, so she gives her a little pep talk and tells her to be a “squirrel.” Callie says she has to step out to think about what to do, and Dr. Thorpe is rightfully worried and annoyed at them since she promised she had a good plan.

Again, I don’t know much (or anything) about surgeries or medicine in general, but somehow Callie is able to think of a new way to perform the surgery. She goes back to the operating room and tries her technique, and she is able to successfully save the patient. As they are leaving, Thorpe apologized for his hostility and congratulates them on the surgery well done. Before he leaves, however, he asks Meredith out and she unknowingly gives him her number under de guise of checking on the patient. Meredith hasn’t dated anyone for years since she started dating Derek so this was somewhat weird to see, but it also felt refreshing to see Meredith moving on.

This episode wasn’t too interesting in terms of personal relationships and the usual drama, but I have to admit, the surgery was pretty cool to watch. I’m usually not into medical stuff, but Grey’s has a way of sucking you in and making you care about the patient and the case. Besides, I’m sure soon enough we’ll have more personal drama to make up for it.

12×12: “My Next Life” Recap

This episode of Grey’s Anatomy was more of a “filler” episode, but I thought it was still a really good one. The episode was used as a way to show how far Meredith has come in the 10 years she’s been working at the hospital. The first patient she ever treated, Katie, is readmitted to Grey Sloan due to seizures. Her previous injury was due to unexplained seizures, and Derek was the doctor on her case. Katie is shocked that they still let Meredith be a doctor, since she says that she was a mess that day. Amelia is now her doctor, and they find out that she’s been having seizures again due to a huge aneurism, which she has to clip. Katie asks Amelia if she’s as good as her brother was, and she replies that she is but we know that she’s always had insecurities when it comes to her brother.

Meanwhile, Meredith is working on another case with a woman who can’t stop bleeding from an injury. They’re supposed to put pressure on it and it’ll stop on its own, but they ended up having to operate. As Meredith and Riggs rush with the patient towards an OR, she makes eye contact with Katie, who now sees that Meredith is actually a good doctor. Amelia is able to clip the aneurism successfully, and we can see that she’s feeling confident as she deals with some of her previous insecurities. Meredith’s patient, however, didn’t make it, which is really sad since she was finally going to reunite with her long-lost son. He arrives at the hospital right after she died and we all can’t help but feel really bad for them.

Richard, Maggie, DeLuca, and Arizona had a really funny dynamic on this episode. DeLuca just found out from Maggie that Richard is her father, and he is mortified since he told him last week that his girlfriend was a “wildcat.” Richard is not happy with DeLuca, and the situation is only made worse when Arizona jokingly comments during surgery that DeLuca and his mystery girlfriend are always having sex and that she must be wild. DeLuca gets extremely embarrassed and Richard keeps glaring at him while Arizona obliviously keeps talking. Richard also gets more than he bargained for when he asks Arizona about the dates she’s been going on and she reveals a little too much information, but there is a sweet moment between them when Arizona thanks him for helping her get out there and date again after she got divorced from Callie.

We finally found out what happened between Riggs and Hunt, and it seems that Hunt is mad at Riggs because he blames him for his sister’s death. Apparently Owen’s sister Meg got on a helicopter to go treat her patient during a storm, and the helicopter crashed. Owen is mad that Riggs didn’t take Meg’s place. Honestly, I don’t think Owen should blame Riggs for Meg’s death, since Riggs knew that Meg would never accept staying there and leaving her patient.

Overall, this episode was really good and it felt like many of the characters are starting to move forward. The flashback scene with Derek saying his trademark “It’s a beautiful day to save lives” was so bittersweet but also helped us fans get some closure.

12×11: “Unbreak My Heart” Recap

Last week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy focused entirely on Jackson and April’s relationship. It started with Jackson and April sitting with their lawyers about to finally sign divorce papers, and April asking Jackson if this is really what he wants. The rest of the episode is a series of chronological flashbacks going back to the first moment they met.

The first flashback is of April and Jackson arguing the same day Meredith was attacked. April is mad because Jackson gave her divorce papers in the middle of the ER and they started arguing about it. After that, it rewinds to the scene from the mid season finale, in which we finally found out what Jackson said to April after they had sex. He said he wanted to get a divorce and couldn’t do it anymore, which I guess is pretty evident after seeing what happens in the “future.”

After that scene, it rewinds to April and Jackson’s dinner after their couple’s therapy session. It shows the two of them having a nice dinner at first, but April getting defensive over some comments made by Jackson. It seems like there is still a lot of tension over April leaving to go to the army for months after their baby died. Jackson feels like he put April’s feelings over his own, despite the fact that he was also deeply hurting. However, April feels as though she was dying after Samuel died and she had to go to the army and do something meaningful with her life. After arguing, they end up sleeping together, but it only makes things more awkward between them.

The next scene from the past is sometime in season 11, when April is in Jordan and Jackson is still in Seattle. Here we get to see the extent of Jackson’s suffering after April left when he had to take down the crib and clean up Samuel’s room, but ended up smashing it and having a breakdown. This scene is incredibly heartbreaking, and we get to see why Jackson was so upset at April for leaving him alone with his grief. We also get to see how much April suffered a few days after she got back from the hospital. She was sitting in Samuel’s room alone staring at the wall, and Jackson tried to help her by suggesting they could try again, which was really insensitive and only makes the situation worse.

The scenes before that are very different, since it shows the moment they found out April was pregnant in season 11 and the moment they got married in season 10. It shows extra scenes from the previous episodes we’ve seen, where they are happy and in love. The last flashback scene is the first time they met back in season 6, when April was an annoying intern and Jackson was someone trying to escape his family’s legacy.

After all these flashbacks, we are back in the present when April and Jackson are about to sign divorce papers. Jackson finally answers April and tells her that he’s sure that he wants to get divorced. April, who’s holding back tears, signs them and goes home. Once she’s at her apartment, Arizona arrives with multiple bottles of alcohol and asks April to pick what she wants. April says she doesn’t really want to drink, and Arizona says as a joke “You just got a divorce and you don’t want to drink? What are you, pregnant?” April, however, doesn’t laugh, and tells Arizona that she just took a test that morning and she found out she was pregnant. This makes it clear that things aren’t as over between Jackson and April as we thought they were. Overall, this was a really emotional episode but a very good one. It gave us some insight to their relationship and we got to see more to each side of the story.

12×10: “All I Want Is You” Recap

Last night’s episode of Grey’s was more of a transitioning episode for this season. Nothing overly interesting happened, but there were still some key scenes. The episode starts out with Meredith going to therapy for her traumatic experience after she got attacked. She tells her therapist that this is not the worst thing that has happened to her, since no one died, so therefore, she is fine. She talks about the time when Lexie died on the plane crash, Cristina left to go to Switzerland, her mother died from Alzheimer’s, and Derek died from getting hit by a truck. She tells him that she is annoyed by her friends trying to take care of her all the time, and that she is used to being alone, since she is a widow.

Her talks with the therapist are paralleled with scenes of the aftermath of her attack, and her friends trying to be there for her. Callie, Alex, Bailey, and Maggie are all at her house hanging out with her, but she tells them to leave. She thought this would make her feel better, but it doesn’t. As she talks with her therapist, she discovers that maybe she doesn’t want to be alone after all, despite the fact that she is used to it.

Meanwhile, the other characters at the hospital are dealing with other struggles, as usual. Callie, Alex, and Maggie disagree about what to do about a patient. The patient is a 15 year old girl with some sort of disorder, so she has to have something inserted in her chest. Callie and Maggie want to replace part of her bones with a 3D printed version, but Alex thinks it’s to risky and doesn’t agree. They end up doing the surgery, and after several complications, the patient is fine. This case is used to remind us why Alex is so well suited for his specialty of pediatric surgery, and to show us his character development.

We also learn more about what happened between Owen, Riggs, and Owen’s sister. Owen tells Amelia about how his sister, him, and Riggs were all really close to each other in med school and after. He tells her that his sister loved Riggs, and he somehow holds him responsible for what happened to her. We don’t know what this is yet, but at least we’re one step closer to learning about it. Things between Jo and Alex are also not so good, but at the end of the episode it seems like Jo wants to work on things, because she kisses Alex after being reminded how good of a guy he is. Maggie and Deluca’s relationship also continues to progress, and it seems like Richard realizes that those two are together.

Overall, this was a relatively good episode but nothing too interesting happened. I think it was used to show how far Alex and Meredith have come since season one. Other characters, such as Arizona, Jackson, April, and Bailey, didn’t get much screentime however, and Penny (who most of the fans still hate) got a lot of it. Hopefully next week we won’t see much of her, and we’ll see more of the other characters.

Here’s the promo for next week’s episode:

12×09: “Sound of Silence” Recap

This episode was incredibly intense and had everyone on the edge of their seats. It started off with Meredith, Alex, and the others, treating some patients from a car accident. Meredith was treating a patient who started having seizures, and after everyone left the room except for her, the patient brutally attacked her. He didn’t know what was going on, since it was one of the symptoms from his injury, but he pushed Meredith against a wall and started hitting her everywhere. Penny found Meredith on the floor a couple of minutes later, and everyone came back to operate on her. Alex, Maggie, Jackson, Richard, and the others were all extremely worried for Meredith, who had numerous injuries.

Meredith injured her legs in different places, as well as her arms, face, jaw (they had to crack her jaw open so they could intubate her), and ears, so she couldn’t hear for a while. The episode was all directed from her point of view, so for about 15 minutes it was all silent. Meredith couldn’t speak either due to her jaw injury, so it was pretty disconcerting. Most of the episode was about Meredith’s struggle with her recovery, and her interactions with the other doctors.

Throughout the episode, we see Alex never leaving Meredith’s side and being an extremely good friend to her. He’s always on the brink of tears and he worries about her. Amelia is always outside the room but never goes in because her and Meredith aren’t on good terms. Even though we can’t hear her because Meredith is deaf for the first half, Amelia and Richard argue for some time outside of Meredith’s room.

After around 3 weeks have passed, Meredith’s bruises are almost gone but she still can’t speak or open her mouth due to her jaw injury. Arizona coaches her on what to do once her kids get there. Ones the kids make it to the room, Meredith tries talking to them, but they all get really scared from seeing their mom like that. Zola says she wants to leave and doesn’t want to see her because she is scared, and Meredith gets extremely agitated once they do leave. She has a panic attack and feels like she can’t breathe because she can’t move her jaw. Penny finds her and cuts her wires open in her mouth so she feels like she can breathe better. This shows the difficulty of Meredith’s recovery and how much it has cost her.

After she gains her sense of hearing back and her bruises heal, Meredith is really annoyed because she has spent around 6 weeks in the hospital. She observes everyone else and sees Jackson and April fighting over what appears to be divorce papers. She also sees Jo caring for Alex, so whenever she can speak she tells him that even though he wants to be there for her, he has to go and pay attention to Jo and marry her, because she really loves him. She also speaks with Amelia, who tells her that she’s 30 days sober after she broke her sobriety last episode. Meredith tells her that she can’t forgive her yet, and things are still tense between them.

Overall, this whole episode was very dramatic and tense. I felt really sorry for Meredith throughout the whole episode, and I couldn’t help but feeling bad for her. Next episode deals with the aftermath of her recovery, so hopefully it will be a little less intense but just as good.

Here’s the promo for next week’s episode:

Mid-season premiere predictions: “Sound of Silence”

The previous episode of Grey’s Anatomy left us with plenty of cliffhangers to keep us waiting until February 11th. With the ninth episode of the season coming out next week, there’s plenty of speculation going around. According to press releases and promos, Meredith will get brutally attacked next week by a patient, and Penny will be the one to discover her.

The promo shows Meredith going to check up on a patient, who is clearly unstable. The patient is out of control and smashes Meredith against the door and hits her, and she gets injured pretty badly. After that, Penny apparently finds her and Richard, Alex, Maggie, and Amelia all try to help Meredith out. It also shows that she is unable to listen to anything for a while.

According to several press releases, this episode is supposed to be emotionally charged and intense, and some of the cast members have said that it feels a lot like a season finale instead of just a mid-season premiere. This scared some of the fans, who think that if Shonda is capable of releasing an episode like this one as a mid-season premiere, the season finale is likely to be horrible. It’s also a little ironic since Shonda said this was supposed to be a “lighter” season, but so far it’s been pretty dramatic and emotional, with a few lighter moments.

As for the other storylines, we probably won’t get to find out what happened between Jackson and April and Alex and Jo until later episodes. Several sources have said that we might be able to find out what happened on the 11th episode, “All I want is you”, but it’s unclear whether this episode will be about “Jolex” or “Japril.” As for Nathan and Owen, sources have also revealed that we won’t find out what happened between them for a few episodes.

In my opinion, I think Meredith has already been through way too much to make this assault seem believable. She’s survived a bomb, almost drowning, a shooting, a plane crash, pregnancy complications, her husband, sister, and mother dying, and now an assault? Are we supposed to believe she’s immortal and somehow all these horrible things keep happening to her? I guess it’s a dramatic TV show and we’re not meant to be taking it too seriously, but most fans can agree it’s getting a little ridiculous.

Some fans also think that Shonda is using this as an opportunity to redeem Penny’s character. Since she’s the one who finds Meredith, it’s possible that she’ll be the one to order a head CT, and therefore “redeem” her character. Personally, I don’t want this to happen because I hate Penny’s character and I don’t want her to become a series regular. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this, so hopefully Shonda won’t decide to renew her contract and Penny will be gone soon. Either way, next week’s episode seems like it’s going to be extremely dramatic and emotional, so if you’re planning on watching be prepared for that.

12×08: “Things We Lost in the Fire” Recap

The eighth episode of the season and winter finale started with a new trauma in which the doctors at Grey Sloan had to treat numerous burn victims after a fire somewhere in Seattle. The doctors’ lives are also in shambles, as usual. Things are still incredibly tense between Owen and newcomer Riggs, especially after Owen’s mom shows up at the hospital and hugs Riggs like a long-lost son. Owen is not happy about this at all, and he pulls Riggs aside and punches him, yelling, “You are not my family!” Amelia is confused and worried about Owen, so she goes to find him to try and help him, but Owen tells her to back off.

Meredith goes to talk to Owen’s mom to try and find out what’s wrong with him, and when Amelia asks Meredith to tell her, Meredith gets mad at her. Amelia accuses Meredith of only being loyal to Cristina, who’s not even there. Meredith yells at Amelia and tells her that Cristina is her sister, and that Amelia is not her sister, and she kicks her out of the house. Amelia, who is extremely hurt, goes to the bar, where Riggs buys her a drink. This scene is really painful to watch, since Amelia, who is a recovering alcoholic, broke her sobriety after years. Later on, Meredith approaches Owen and tells him, “I didn’t know you had a sister” leaving us viewers more confused than ever.

Jo and Alex have also been having lots of problems this episode. Jo, who is fed up with Alex choosing Meredith over her all the time, decides to break up with Alex. When Jo breaks up with him, Alex pulls out a ring and tells her he’s being acting secretive because he’s been trying to propose to her for a while. Jo stares at him in shock and the scene fades, leaving the viewers with yet another cliffhanger.

It seems like no one is actually happy on this episode, since things are also tense between Jackson and April. Jackson tells April that them having sex was really confusing, which disappointed April since she thought it meant something. She finally has enough of Jackson beating around the bush, and yells at him to make up his mind: either they break up for good or get back together. The scene ends with Jackson smiling about to respond but then it fades to black before we get to hear what he says.

Overall, this episode was pretty dramatic and had some h̶o̶r̶r̶i̶b̶l̶e̶ great cliffhangers to keep everyone waiting for the next two months until the next episode. In my opinion, the most heartbreaking part of the episode was the fight between Amelia and Meredith, and Amelia drinking for the first time in years. Let’s hope these two can resolve their issues on February 11th when the next episode airs. I’m also hoping that Penny doesn’t appear anymore, since not having her around on this episode was great.

Here’s the promo for the next episode:
