My final work looks like the keyword might have been Politics, but remember: I actually started out with Dance! I was really unhappy with that random word assignment but thanks to the mind-mapping exercise I was able to find something I was interested in doing. Even though this work deals with some heavy issues, the inspiration I took from the discussion on appropriation and fair use in newMediaWiki showed me how I could do this in a light-hearted and comical way, kind of taking the edge off.
In this final iteration, I finally figured out a pacing that works with the soundtrack, and this was incredibly challenging because Express doesn’t really work with clips like iMovie, which I’ve used before. Going back to the tutorial title in LinkedIn Learning on how to trim a timeline was helpful. I was also unhappy with the theme I had been working with, but Express made it easy to select something that fit the content: a red color that might remind you of Russian Communism and American MAGA.
Although to be honest I’d probably prefer to build a project like this in iMovie, I enjoy how Express makes it easier to share… no exporting or loading up to YouTube!

LinkedIn Learning: Learning Adobe Spark
This imaginary post is excellent. It has the 5 magic ingredients:
From start to finish, this post took a half-hour to complete. Some posts may take longer, others not, but that’s a good average to shoot for. Show your posts — and your audience — this kind of love!
A concept sketch created at Webwhiteboard.com, a free browser-based drawing app. Left side is a crude tracing of the image at right. Webwhiteboard allows you to drag and drop images and has a few line-weights and colors.
A concept sketch drawn in a tablet-based sketchbook (Moleskine app on an iPad).
A sketch done on paper and scanned to create a digital image.
Reflecting writing here. Give your audience a brief description of the concept and how the sketch is helping you visualize where to go with your project. The images above are inserted from the Media Library in WordPress but can also be embedded from Flickr.
Any media system you are comfortable with can be used. The examples above include a drawing downloaded from Webwhiteboard.com, a drawing from a tablet-based sketchbook app, and a traditional paper drawing which has been digitized via scanning.
As with other posts, you can add links to the wiki project or other supporting materials as seen in the Image Embed Example below.

Reflecting writing here. Give your audience a brief description of the assignment and what you learned from doing it. The image above is inserted from the Media Library in WordPress, because Flickr or other cloud hosting sites may not support SVG.

Reflecting writing here. Give your audience a brief description of the assignment and what you learned from doing it. The GIF is inserted from the media library. The APNG is hosted on another site and linked.

Reflecting writing here. Give your audience a brief description of the assignment and what you learned from doing it. Embedding videos is mandatory since the media library doesn’t readily support storage of video. The image above is embedded from Youtube and it’s just a simple short URL:
The video above is an iframe and API script from Vimeo. The code is auto-generated by Vimeo’s share tool, copied and pasted in the Text tab of the content area for this post in the WordPress Dashboard:
As with other posts, you can add links to the wiki project or other supporting materials as seen in the Image Embed Example below.
The final sample is an iframe embed from Adobe Spark. As with the Vimeo iframe, the code is auto-generated in Spark, and handled in a similar manner.
Reflecting writing here. Give your audience a brief description of the assignment and what you learned from doing it. Embedding images is often a better idea than using the media library. The image above is embedded from Flickr.
