Welcome to Ning Li Research Lab at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Materials Research Institute at Penn State University!
Our research focuses on the cross section of semiconductor electronic and optoelectronic materials and devices, and their applications in the next generation computing and communications. We value greatly the innovative ideas, and at the same time we care a lot about the practical future of the research outcome for scalable and sustainable performance in the applications. We have a broad spectrum of research topics, due to our relevant experience in industry and academia. Our current main research directions include, but not limited to:
- Memory devices and materials for in-memory computing and neuromorphic computing;
- Heterogeneous integration of materials, devices, and chiplets;
- Optoelectronic devices and high-power high-frequency devices for interconnects and communications;
- 2D materials, organic electronics, and flexible electronics
