President: (must complete at least 1/2 semester of membership before eligible to be elected).
The President shall:
- Conduct and preside over the meetings of NRHH. Meetings shall be called at his/her discretion.
- Act as official spokesperson of the organization.
- Appoint standing committees.
- Vote in case of a tie.
- Attend, or appoint a representative to attend, meetings of the Association of Residence Hall Students (ARHS) when necessary.
Vice President:
The Vice President shall:
- Sit as a chairperson of the Selection Committee.
- Advise standing committees.
- Preside over all meetings in the absence of the President.
Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall:
- Be responsible for all financial transactions for the organizations.
- Formulate a budget at the beginning of the year in conjunction with the President and revise it as necessary.
- Oversee, but not necessarily run, all fundraising activities.
- Renew the Nittany Chapter’s membership as a registered organization with the PSU Student Organizations office and the National Chapter of NRHH.
- Maintain an account with, and conduct all financial transactions from, Associated Student Activities (ASA) in the HUB.
Secretary:
The Secretary shall:
- Take minutes at all called meetings and distribute them to the members.
- Send notices about meetings to members.
- Maintain files on all activities.
- Submit an end-of-the-year report to the National Honorary office and file one in the Nittany Chapter files.
- Sit as a member of the Selection Committee.
- Maintain and update the NRHH Listserv whenever necessary.
Director of Programming
The Director of Programming shall:
- Facilitate and oversee all programming involved with NRHH.
- Meet regularly with their programming committee to evaluate traditional events and identify new programming ideas.
- Build relationships with other organizations (i.e. ARHS, Residence Life, etc.) to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Attend executive board meetings and report out on their position.
- Sit as a member of the Selection Committee.
Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing shall:
- Attend executive board meetings and report out on their position.
- Sit as a member of the Selection Committee.
- Maintain social media outlets for the organization.
- Work closely with Director of Programming to create marketing materials for events.
- Assist (as needed) with maintaining the NRHH website.
