My 4th Week at Penn State

This week was definitely one of the most stressful weeks I’ve had here. I was constantly doing something while still trying to keep everything in balance. I had to juggle a lot of schoolwork while still trying to do stuff with my friends. This week I sacrificed some hang out time in order to do my school and get my homework done well.

In my COMM class, we had case studies to do. I was given a case study on Lays “Do Us A Flavor Campaign” and honestly it was really interesting. I was working with two classmates, Joseph and Claire. I wasn’t sure how well we were all going to work together, but it worked out really well. All of us contributed great ideas and had a fun time analyzing the campaign strategies. Check out my blog post on the work we did!

On top of that, I had an investigative report due to my English 015 class which I wanted to do really well on. I was investigating racial profiling and how it affects teenagers. I also submitted the investigative report to the Center Daily Times to see if they would publish it.

Also, this week was my roommate Julia’s Birthday. We went to Snap pizza in town and we went to eat it on the lawn of Old Main. It was so nice for the group to get together and relax after a hectic week. We went to the creamery and got ice cream for us to share.

Another thing my friends and I did was we set up a movie and had a movie night. We popped nine bags of popcorn brought a million different blankets and pillows from our rooms and watched The Hangover. I’ve never seen that movie and all our guy friends were raving about it. It was nice too because the weather was bad so we didn’t feel guilty about wasting a nice day.
