Undergraduate Research Intern Needed – Genetic, Dietary and Environmental Influences on Vitamin D Metabolism
Robin Taylor Wilson, Ph.D., Principal Investigator, Associate Professor, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute
Studies by our lab and others consistently report that serum vitamin D levels are significantly lower among individuals with African American ancestry, controlling for age and other health status indicators. We are in need of a part-time undergraduate research intern on the University Park Campus that is interested in working on this study. The intern will work with the Project Manager and the Penn State Clinical Research Center through the Spring 2014 semester on study implementation, including study recruitment, for 10 hours per week. Interns with an interest in health sciences will be preferred. This intern will be invited to intern at the Hershey Campus during Summer 2014. Interns will be provided with basic training in epidemiologic and biomedical research methods. Interested applicants should submit a CV (including references) and a letter of interest to Dr. Wilson by email (email@example.com). Applications are due on or before January 3, 2014. Please contact Dr. Wilson or Loren Archibeque, Project Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org), with questions.
