Can Nutrition Majors Study Abroad?

Yes, they definitely can.  Unfortunately, I often hear nutrition students telling me they’ve heard they can’t study abroad.  There are many opportunities through Penn State and other schools for study abroad experiences.   It is very easy to do something over the summer, or even spring break,  and many students take full semesters away.  It does take planning however.  Each option in Nutritional Sciences has courses that are part of a sequence.  In order to study abroad you need to plan ahead to make sure all the necessary courses can be completed in the correct order. But, with planning this is can be accomplished.

Friday, October 16, from 3-5 PM there will be a Health and Human Development sponsored Study Abroad Fair.  Consider attending to learn more about your options.  You can also look back at past articles in this blog for nutrition specific study abroad opportunities.
