SUSTAINABILITY TRACKING ASSESSMENT AND RATING (STARS) INTERN
Penn State’s Sustainability Institute seeks a student to assist with data collection for a comprehensive assessment of Penn State’s sustainability performance. The assessment will follow the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating (STARS) protocol. The successful applicant will assist with updating qualitative and quantitative data from our previous STARS submission, using online web searches and direct communication by email or phone with appropriate staff and faculty. Other related tasks may be assigned. Requires attention to detail, resourcefulness at tracking down information, proficiency with Excel, ability to work independently, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a GPA of at least 3.0 and class status of at least sophomore. Applicants should have an interest in, and general familiarity with, sustainability issues and concepts. Great opportunity to learn more about sustainability and Penn State’s role in advancing it. This paid internship and will be for 10 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters. Location is Land & Water Research Building.
