Spring Study Abroad Opportunity (1 week over spring break) – Anatomy in Italy: Cadavers, Culture, and Science

Applications are being accepted for a Spring semester, embedded study abroad experience – BIOL 497 – Anatomy in Italy: Cadavers, Culture, and Science  through October 23rd.
See more information here BIOL 497 Course Flyer-16ceu42
The class traces the development of anatomy and physiology in Renaissance Italy, and over spring break travels to Florence, Bologna, and Rome. This 3-credit course will count for either a GH or GN depending on the student’s needs, and its corequisite IT 197 (also 3 credits) will count for another GH. The two classes will each only meet once per week for an hour and 15 minutes, and thus only take up the time of a normal 3-credit course during the semester. The remaining credit will be earned while abroad, so the students will end up with a total of 6 credits from the two classes. In addition to general education credits, this course could be used toward 400 level supporting course requirements in nutrition or 400 level courses for the biology minor.
The only requirement is that you have at least one of the prerequisites (BIOL 129 or BIOL 141 or BIOL 240 or BIOL 472 or KINES 202).
