Join Penn State UNESCO Youth as Researchers Program

The 2019 UNESCO Youth as Researchers program and seek participation from undergraduate students across all colleges.  This program trains youth and young adults to create and carry out youth-driven and youth-owned social justice research projects of their choosing.

In this program Penn State undergraduate students work together to identify problems of relevance to their communities and societies. They then rigorously study these issues, providing detailed frameworks for social change to program and policy makers. Equally important they share their research findings from a wide range of interests through social media and other outlets. UNESCO believes that a trans-disciplinary approach to addressing social justice issues is crucial and encourage participation from students across our various academic areas.

Our program met with great success last year in the US and Ireland and we seek to make it even better this year.  We are expanding the program to Vietnam, Russia, France, Myanmar, and South Africa this year to increase this important youth researcher cohort. For more information, visit the following sites: https://agsci.psu.edu/unesco/the-penn-state-unesco-youth-as-researchers-program or http://www.childandfamilyresearch.ie/cfrc/youth-as-researchers/ )
