Virtual Open House: Nutritional Sciences Future Education Model Graduate Program (RDN Pathway)

As you may know, the Penn State Department of Nutritional Sciences received final ACEND-accreditation of our Future Education Model (FEM) Graduate Program. The newly accredited program is the Experiential Track of the Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Nutritional Sciences Graduate Program, which is a graduate degree program of the Department of Nutritional Sciences offered via Penn State’s World Campus. Applications are now being accepted for the Experiential Track that begins summer 2019, pending final University approval.

To learn more, consider attending our Virtual Open House on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019, 4:00-5:00pm ET. The Virtual Open House will be conducted via video conferencing. If you plan to attend, please complete this RSVP survey by Monday, February 18th. You will receive additional details one day prior to the open house regarding how to virtually connect.

Application Process & Deadlines

You will apply to the MPS in Nutritional Sciences Experiential Track using Penn State’s online Graduate School application. The Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS) will not be used for application to this program.

  • March 1: Application deadline
  • March 15: Applicants will be notified of selection for interviews via email
  • March 21, 22, 26, and 27: Interview dates (in-person or via video conferencing)
  • March 29: Admission offers will be extended on or before this date.  
  • April 9: Decisions of offer acceptance are due by 5pm

Note: As an applicant, you will know if you are being offered admission prior to the deadline for DICAS program ranking, and a response to an offer is not due until Tuesday, April 9th which is 1 day after DICAS match acceptances are due! We hope that this will be advantageous for your decision-making throughout the process.
