I am looking for teaching assistants for Nutrition 251 for the Fall 2019 semester. Serving as a TA is a great way to review basic nutrition information while building new skills and earning one 400-level credit (NUTR 496) towards your major.
You must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA to become a TA. You will be expected to attend class, help grade assignments and hold review sessions before each exam.
I am looking for TAs for two sections of NUTR251:
- Tuesday/Thursday 9:05-10:20
- Tuesday/Thursday 10:35-11:50

Consider joining this fun group. It is a great way to meet fellow classmates, engage in professional development activities, and participate in community service!
We provide opportunities to learn more about Penn State’s nutrition program and post-graduate options. In addition, members can get professional headshots taken for LinkedIn or ePortfolio’s and participate in our peer-mentoring program. We will also offer group cooking nights in Henderson’s food lab as well as study groups! This year we will be focusing on engaging students in all options, and participating in the Penn State Community, as well as the larger State College Community.

The first Student Nutrition Association meeting will be held this Tuesday (9/5/17) at 7 p.m. in 10 Henderson, so come on out! The Center for Woman’s Services will be coming to speak about their services on campus, as well as body image. This is the first point opportunity, so if you stay, you will earn a point!

Looking for some experience as a teaching assistant? I am recruiting undergraduate TAs for two sections of NUTR 251 for Fall 2017. Serving as a teaching assistant is a good way to help students learn about nutrition and show your leadership skills.
- Section 001: MWF 9:05-9:55
- Section 003: MWF 1:25-2:15
NUTR major or pre-major (sophomore through senior standing)
- A- or higher in NUTR 251
- B+ or higher in NUTR 358
You can earn 1 credit in NUTR 496 for serving as a TA
