Speech Outline
“Black Power,” “LBJ LBJ how many will you kill today?,” “No Means No,” “Nasty Woman” all of these slogans are from different eras, for different movements, but all had the same impact, they had the power to bring people together. The slogan nasty woman started off as an insult aimed at Hillary Clinton by her opponent Donald Trump but I’m sure as you’ve all noticed it has become something far from an insult. The term or slogan Nasty Woman has come to mean something entirely different to society now. The term nasty woman has become something to people. It has meaning and substance when it is seen, read or heard. The phrase influenced popular culture, books, and magazines as well as came to be known as the rallying cry of women’s rights. The phrase Nasty Woman has rallied the American people behind a cause it has given Americans hope, strength and the ability to come together and fight for their rights.

Basically I want to show how the media played a role in shaping people’s definition of the phrase Nasty woman because I feel that the definition or society is choosing to use it is really important and I think the media really played a role in this and I want to show that.

Basically I want to show how the women’s march gave people hope and strength and I can do that by using examples and quotes from people who were there and why they marched. I want to show how the phrase Nasty Woman was like the unified and rallying cry for people even if they were there for different reasons.

Nasty Woman Project

- Use examples from the website to show not only the diversity of people but diversity of posts
The ideology that Nasty Woman stands for is why/what people are standing behind. I want to try and focus on that in this last paragraph to really define exactly what this ideology is. I want to show what is represents to people and how that ideology is what unified people, gave them hope and strength they needed to fight for their rights.
The phrase Nasty Woman has been seen across many different commonplaces: twitter, the media, the women’s march and it’s even been adopted as a group The Nasty Woman’s project which is basically another medium with which to get the ideology across but this time through writing. The ideology behind Nasty Woman is to unite people, it’s to remind people that even in times of despair we as Americans can and will fight back, it’s a reminder to never give up and fight for one’s dreams, it’s about building an America that’s inclusive, big hearted and full of opportunity. In the words of Hillary Clinton “please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it” that’s what the phrase Nasty Women is reminding us to do it reminds us that we are stronger together, and that is how we will go forward and enact change.
