Grants
Library Internal Grant, Piloting the use of Bird in group study rooms to investigate how students in different majors engage with the tangible user interface. Amount: $4,289
Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence Grant, In the final round of evaluations. Grant is to purchase additional Birds for use in the classroom to explore impact on student engagement and motivation when teaching a one-shot information literacy session. Proposed Amount:
*Grant that was not funded but received very positive feedback: Multilayered, Scalable Badging Effort: Integrating Teaming and Information Literacy. Proposed Amount was $26,361. This was for a Center for Online Innovation and Teaching grant at Penn State. I was informed that if the funding levels were at previous year levels then the project would have been funded. Encouraged to apply again this spring but due to existing responsibilities of the team we are delaying until Spring 2018.
