Embedded Librarian Asynchronous Class

In order to create a robust program it needs support, governance, and established structure. Part of the support for this program comes from the embedded librarian course. This is a course in Canvas that is offered any time of the year. The course is inspired from the World Campus Faculty Development series of courses, but is customized to fit the needs of librarians. There are nine modules in the course and they cover topics from effective online teaching, to what it means to be embedded, to learning a little more about the World Campus student population.

Librarians complete this course prior to embedding in the online environment. It creates a shared sense of understanding about effective online practice. Overall, this course develops a certain level of expectation for librarians who will be embedded in online courses.
