Meeting Minutes: December 10, 2013

Hey Guys!

Sorry for the confusion with the room for tonight’s meeting. Thank’s to everyone who still showed up despite the sudden location change! To all who couldn’t make it out here is what you missed tonight…
Upcoming Trips
 
Last minute Getaway (this friday to saturday)
-are you stressed about finals?
-Do you need one short trip outside to take a break from studying?
-Well Benji and some others are leaving campus friday afternoon walking to camp somewhere close up as one final getaway this semester. They will be back around Saturday afternoon.

Spring Break 
-You known who you are if you are going. Keep a look out for an email about the trip.
 
Today’s Speakers and Talks 
 
Big Brothers, Big Sisters 
-Phil from big brothers big sisters came to talk about the program and how they need YOU
-they are looking for volunteers that can commit to 9-12 months
-you should be able to commit 1-3 hours per week
-you will be paired with a little who you can bond with, form a great relationship with, and to whom you can act as a positive mentor

Josh and the AT
-For those of you who do not know PSOCER Josh Glazer is hiking the appalachian trail next semester!
-unfortunately he was no able to give his presentation but if you want to hike with Josh at all during his trip let him know!
-he will be updating a trail journal online about his wherearbouts to keep up all updated
-Here is a General Timeline in case you want to plan a trip to hike with him
March to April – Georgia to North Carolina
Mid to Late May – PA
June                    -Southern New England
Huly-August – Main
-Goodluck Josh! We will be thinking about you your whole trip! Stay Stoked!
Logos
-Tonight was the Logo deadline but if you still have a logo you want to submit email Julian tonight!
-Good luck to all of those who did enter a design
Trip Reports 
Bald Eagle Trip 
-There were feasts a plenty all night and morning
-Everying Chilled (quite literally) around the campfire at night
-and they even got home before the snow hit to hard.
-Overall a great weekend for everyone!
Plunge!
-Polar Bear plunge was this mornin! g!
-It was really really cold but all those who went our felt good and alive
-Will probably happen again
Make Sure to hand in receipts by tomorrow so you can get reimbursed for any trips if you have not done so already 
 
Also make sure to pick up any checks from club sports that have not already been picked up 
 
Meetings next semester will be at Tuesdays in 105 osmond at 8 (we will send out a reminder after break)
 
Have a FANTASTIC winter break and goodluck on finals! Try to get Outside over break and make sure to stay stoked!
