Meeting Minutes 10/20/15

Hello Friends, last night the outing club met up, like we do every Tuesday at 8pm in 108 Henderson. After the meeting we had our flash sale, clearing out our inventory of old PSOC gear to make room for more! Next meeting, we’ll have a guest speaker from the SCA talking about the various internships they offer, and presumably handing out stickers.

 TRIP REPORTS

ACA Collegiate Downriver Nationals – “This weekend 11 of our members headed down to Roanoke Va. and were able to put PSOC in the record books again. Competing in the ACA Collegiate Race Series National Championship the men took 1st place overall and the women took 2nd overall. While there were many accomplished paddlers in the race, it didn’t stop several members who had never been in a white water boat before this fall from taking places on the podium! If racing, paddling, or being a collegiate athlete sounds like something you’re interested in, make sure to come to the next PSOC meeting to hear more about our race and other Canoe Division trips and practices!”

The Tap – Some PSOCers took the catabus out to Tussey mountain, and hiked about 10 miles. In one afternoon, they saw rain, sleets, snow, and sunshine. Pretty much every season!
