Meeting Minutes – 12/1/2015

Hello All, if you missed the memo about last nights meeting (sorry I forgot to send a reminder!), read this to find out what went on. Sam was crowned the official PSOC Try-hard for winning our pushup contest.

To honor the end of the semester, next week’s final meeting will be a Potluck! Bring something home made, something weis-made, something factory-made, something dining-hall-made, we’re not picky. We’ll be electing a new Canoe Division Chair, announcing photo contest winners, and hanging out for a while after the meeting. Don’t miss out!

TRIP REPORTS

Kayak Pool Session – PSOC members of all skill levels enjoyed this indoor kayak practice. While our experienced members enjoyed pioneering the art of vertical kayaking or completing 30 consecutive barrel rolls, others enjoyed simply paddling in circles or attempting to hit their first roll.

Governor Dick Bouldering Competition – After a friday night campfire singalong, PSOC members competed all day saturday at this outdoor rock climbing competition. There were personal victories and gigantic burritos had by all, and many enjoyed watching small chill busting dino moves and effortlessly scaling difficult routes.

Deer Rifle Season Opening Day – On this state wide holiday, several PSOCers attempted to get their deer, but none that I know of succeeded. Be very careful while hiking for the next two weeks, there are a lot of hunters with guns and it is ILLEGAL to be in any state forest or game lands without wearing orange.
