Trend Benders!

For my first blog, I decided to start with the five most popular trends of summer 2019! One thing most people notice about fashion trends is that it requires a constant and rapid change. Some reasons why these transformations happen so quickly is due to the changing in the seasons, where a person is located, and most importantly the year we’re in. Trends typically begin with the societies inputs and todays generation. Fashion trends are often influenced by celebrities. The reason fashion industries purposely use celebrities to advertise their products is to give individuals the idea that if a famous person like Beyonce or Drake is wearing this product and looking good in it, so can you. Out of the five trends listed below, which one suites you best?

#1- Tiny bags!

Small hand bags just became the new trend for this summer season. As you can see, these bags aren’t really made for you to put anything in them besides maybe some cash and one or two lip balms. These bags are typically worn to give your outfit a pop of style and give you that “edgy” look. Most individuals prefer to pair these mini bags with a fancy date night outfit rather than a casual  day outfit.

#2- Biker Shorts!

Biker shorts became popular in the spring and summer of 2019. These shorts are like one of your regular pairs of spandex but cut to a knee length. This is more of a casual item you can pair with oversized tees and sneakers or some individuals choose to dress this item up with a fancy blouse and heels. This comfortable look offers a fresh blend of sportswear and a chic and spunky look!

#3- Clear Heels!

We can’t forget about the clear heels that we’ve been seeing every where! These original heels been thought of since the summer of 2018 and just made a come back this summer. It is often heard that Kanye West created the first popular transparent heel, therefore Kim Kardashian has started the trend of clear heels. A clear heel is an item that most say you can pair with absolutely anything. No one really ever wears these heels in the same way, you would mostly witness celebrities wearing these heels with their own unique sense of style added to it.

#4- Neon, Neon, and more Neon!

Fashion is so unique in a way that it’ll dedicate a whole color to a specific season. This seasons color was neon! I bet everyone got exhausted seeing this color everywhere they turned this summer. Neon is that one bright and playful color that gives your outfit, personality, and body shape that dramatic pop! Most people would assume that not much individuals would wear neon just because this color is loud and could be too much. However, not only were people walking around in neon body suits and blazers, but they also had on neon nail sets and neon shoes. The neon trend is a style that I think would take a little while before dying down.

Last but not least..

#5- Lets bring back the Jean Skirts!

Fashion has a way of bringing back the “back in the day” looks. Jean skirts have been around since the 1970s, and recently made a come back in 2019. Denim skirts come in a variety of different styles and lengths to fit your personal fashion sense. Back in the 1970s women would wear long denim skirts for religious purposes but now a days people wear them to give their outfits a cute yet simple look.

Fashion interests me in many ways, and I love to know more about it and continue to follow along with the new and different spunky trends. Fashion has a way of bringing out the “real” you, and helping you express your personality and unique style.

  1. Fashion isn’t exactly something I’m typically interested in, but I did find it interesting how you tied the trends to social issues and celebrity profiling. I don’t know if there’s a way to do this, but it would be nice if the pictures were able to show up right below the spot where you reference them in the text. It was nice to have visuals, but it would be easier for the reader if they didn’t need to scroll to the bottom to find them.

  2. I like how you tied the fashion trends to how they came about historically.

I think the topic is super cool and I like your flow and writing style.

Maybe try to integrate the pics in the post rather than putting them at the end!
