What’s In My Closet? Comfy/Cozy items I own!

The last couple of blogs I spoke about some trends to try this season, my favorite fashion influencers, and a couple of my favorite online shops, but I never really spoke about the items I actually have in my closet that I just adore. This week’s blog is on a few of my favorite comfy and cozy items I own. For starters, I would like to say that some of these items I mention below are either hammy downs or just items I chose to treat myself to overtime.

Being highly invested in fashion from a very early age, I’m often told I have entirely too many clothes or that I sometimes have a really “unique” sense of style, or constantly asked, how exactly do I keep all of my clothes stuffed away in my closet. My response most of the time would be, I have a lot of clothes because I shop smart, I keep all my clothes that still fit in the best condition it can be in, as well as some of my items being hammy downs from either my mother, siblings, or aunts and cousins. Down below are a few comfy items that I store in my closet that I just can’t live without and probably if I could.. Wear them all the time!

#1: “Living The Comfy Life Cropped Sweater”

Towards the ending of the first semester into the new semester, it was a pretty stressful and tough time for me. With me just feeling completely overwhelmed with school, friends from here issues, family and friends from back home issues, and a whole lot more… I decided to treat myself to a simple, yet super cute item I spotted on Fashion Nova. Since the weather has been extremely bipolar the past couple of days, not only does this light knitted sweater work great for those chilly days, it’s also very affordable and fashionably beautiful! I remember when I wore this sweater for the first time since purchasing it, I got compliments nonstop.

#2: “Summers casual: Distress Denim Miniskirt”

This next item is a hammy down from one of my older sisters. Fun fact… My sister had this black distressed denim mini skirt since her junior year of high school and wore it since.. Until she hit a growth spurt her freshman year of college and it became not so much of a skirt for her anymore.  Since I always bothered her about borrowing it all time, instead of throwing it out she passed it down to me. Just like it was her favorite summer item, it instantly became mine. This skirt looks great if you pair it with all white slip on vans and a simple off the shoulder white long sleeve tee! I can’t wait for summer to come back around so I can bring it back out and come up with more outfit ideas!

#3: “Powerblend Sweats: Pullover Hoodie”

Surprisingly, this item is a hammy down from my father. One Sunday afternoon my parents were doing a little decluttering of their closets and my father came across this red champion pullover hoodie he had for a while now but grew out of it. As soon as I laid my eyes on this bright red, comfy hoodie, I instantly thought of several “lazy day” outfits I could create on those days I don’t really feel like putting that much effort into my outfit. For those extremely cold days here at state college, this hoodie works wonders in keeping me stylish and cozy!

#4: “Too Cozy TurtleNeck Sweater Dress”

This next item I also purchased from Fashion Nova of course. I actually bought this dress in a really light grey, closer to silver, color for New Year, but it seems to me that the color is already sold out! I’m not sure about everyone else and where they live, but all I know is… It was pretty cold in New York on New Year’s Day. Even though it was extremely cold, I still wanted to bring in the New Years looking super fashionable, and this dress did just that! It kept me both warm and stylish for bringing in a new year! (styling this dress with a cute slim belt like the image below is also a very stylish go-to look!)
