For my passion blog I have decided to write about historical icons in the music industry. I will primarily be focusing on artists in the 20th and 21st centuries who have made a huge impact in the music industry or have revolutionized culture through their music in some way. Each post will focus on one music icon and will highlight the ways in which their originality impacted music as well as some of their most well-known work.
I decided to choose this topic because music is something that I am very passionate about. Music is one of the most powerful things on the planet because it evokes such strong emotions in us. I am fascinated by the physical reaction humans have to music – it can hype us up or make us cry, sometimes we can even get chills listening to it. I wanted to use this blog to analyze some of the biggest names in the music industry to find out what made their music so good.
So many people are passionate about music, but this is the first time I’ve heard someone say that there was a fascination with the physical reaction we as human beings have to music. This will definitely make an interesting blog, as I know very little about music all together. I can’t wait to hear about how different music icons have impacted society, and your taken on it.
