Tuesday, October 4, 7:30 p.m., Playhouse Theatre (on campus near Palmer Museum)
The Paterno Fellows Program has reserved a block of seats to the musical Be More Chill, presented by the School of Theatre. Tickets are required, but are free of charge. PF students may pick up one or two tickets for the October 4 performance. These tickets are for Penn State students only, and the second person does not have to be in PFP.
Tickets will be available (while supplies last):
- at Lunch with Honors on Wednesdays, September 7, 14, and 21;
- at the Liberal Arts Undergraduate Festival on Thursday, September 8;
- in 102 Sparks from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. beginning on Monday, September 12, and ending at noon on September 21, when unused tickets must be returned to the Box Office.
After the show, we’ll have a Meet-and-Greet Reception with the director and actors. Refreshments will be served!
John Simpkins, Head of Musical Theatre and director of Be More Chill, and actors from Penn State School of Theatre, will be speakers at Lunch with Honors on Wednesday, October 5, the day after our performance and reception.
About the show: Not quite one of the cool kids and not nerdy enough to fall in at the other end of his high school’s cliquey social spectrum, Jeremy Heere is almost invisible. That is, until he discovers a tiny supercomputer that gives him access to everything he wants: girl, parties, popularity. Truly the teenage dream—or so he thinks. The show features music by Joe Iconis, who supplied music for NBC’s SMASH.
