RENT Ticket Lottery

RENT

THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 7:30 P.M., EISENHOWER AUDITORIUM

A limited number of tickets will be available for sale to PFP students. Read on to find out how to enter the ticket lottery!

The Paterno Fellows Program has reserved a block of seats to the Broadway musical RENT. You may enter the lottery for a chance to purchase one or two tickets for only $10 each (cash only!) instead of the usual student price of $47. These tickets are for Penn State students only, but if you purchase two, the second person does not have to be in PFP.

PFP recently offered discounted tickets for the musical ONCE, and we sold out before the end of the first day and had to turn many students away. In anticipation of a similar high demand for RENT tickets, we are holding a lottery to be fair to students whose schedules do not allow an immediate in-person visit to Sparks. If you would like to be considered for tickets, please fill out the Google form. Names will be drawn at noon on Thursday, March 16, and all students who entered will be notified of whether or not they will receive tickets. If additional tickets remain after March 16, we will announce how sales will continue.

From http://www.cpa.psu.edu/events/rent:
In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway—and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Two decades later, Jonathan Larson’s RENT continues to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world. And now, this Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning masterpiece returns to the stage in a vibrant twentieth anniversary touring production. A re- imagining of Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème, RENT follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear, this timeless celebration of friendship and creativity reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters—love.

The show includes adult language and situations.
