This past weekend I attended Penn State’s Arts Fest. I knew I loved art, but I did not know how much I was going to enjoy walking around and seeing everything. From the simple painting to abstract drawing and even the fine woodwork I was amazed at them all. I was able to walk around with a friend from home who came up to visit me. It was great that we both appreciate all the art that was displayed.
Although the weekend of Arts Fest is one you can’t miss, I had to go home on Saturday for my best friend’s grad party. It was nice seeing everyone for home again, but it was only a short amount of time until I was back up in State College. As I got back to my dorm I was back to working on homework.
This week I had a group project due for my Comm 100 class and it was a good amount of work. My daily homework schedule is getting food in the Hub and then working till the time I finish all my work. Some days I am even there from 12:30 to 5:30. Since there is not much to do during the day in college homework helps me occupy my time.
I am aware I am always going home, but this upcoming weekend will more than likely be my last time going home. The summer is starting to feel like it is coming to a close soon, so my weekends here are numbered. I’ll be sure to stay at Penn State and value my time in the upcoming weeks, but for now I am going to value my last weekend at home. I’m excited to have a few more memories in the next weeks here at Penn State.
