THON

Penn State Dance Alliance has been involved with THON since its inception, and over the years, our passion and determination for the cause has grown and improved. Our THON involvement is centered around our two THON sisters, Catey and Cassandra.

Catey is 22 years old and fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).  Her last chemo treatment was September 2014, and we could not be happier she is one step closer on her road to recovery!  Catey is such a strong, sweet and funny girl and we are so lucky to be her Penn State organization.

Cassie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in March of 2016. She is an incredibly brave and positive 12-year-old girl and, whether we are bowling, talking about Star Wars, or eating huge ice cream sundaes, she always puts a smile on our faces! We are thrilled to have the Clearys as a part of our THON family.

We partake in several THON-related activities. These activities include canning weekends, bake sales, THONvelopes, weekly meetings, alternative fundraisers, and more! In addition to our fundraising and awareness activities, we have also had the privilege of performing at Pre-THON and THON celebrations. These are our favorite performances of the year!
