Alex Bechakas: ajb8460@psu.edu

Alex is a Junior from Kane, PA, majoring in Data Science. He is a fan of random sports teams including the Dolphins, Yankees, Penguins and the Thunder. He grew up watching the Penn State wrestling teams dominance over the NCAA, and having too high of hopes for the football team. He started playing fantasy sports in 5th grade, and has only ever made the finals one year despite the heavy research done every year. His favorite fantasy league he has participated in is the Reverse Baseball League where the worst stats were tracked, and you had to draft the worst platers. Alex is excited to be president of PFS and recruit the next generation of fantasy sports fans to the club. One of Jack’s big goals for the year is to bring have more in person events, and increase overall engagement.

Jayson is a senior from Burlington, NJ, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sports Studies. The collections of teams he follows is a bit different as he is a New York Giants and Knicks fan but is also a Phillies and Flyers fan. He followed Penn State Football most of his life but fell in love with the team when they won they’re most recent Big Ten Championship. He’s been playing fantasy football since 4th grade and tries to play in as many fantasy leagues as possible through out the year. His favorite leagues are the Bust Mode dynasty leagues that he’s apart of, which include current and former members of PFS. Jayson would like a career in the sports field as a beat writer, play-by-play announcer or a color commentator.

Owen is a junior accounting major from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Despite his family being made up of New York sports team fans, he became a self-proclaimed Philly Sports fan when he was 10 years old. He has been involved with Fantasy football since 7th grade and is looking forward to being a part of his first dynasty league, “Bust Mode 2”, through PFS. His organizational and budgeting skills will help him in his role as treasurer and ensure that all donated money makes its way to the charitable organizations that are chose by the winner of each fantasy league.

Reynaldo Orpinel: rao5223@psu.edu

Reynaldo Orpinel is a junior majoring in Aerospace Engineering with an ENTI minor from Metepec, Mexico. Despite not being the most popular of sports in his hometown he played ice hockey since he was in middle school and roots for the Washington Capitals. Rey likes watching Formula 1 and hopes to see Red Bull win a constructor’s championship and work for a Formula One team once he graduates from the College of Engineering. Rey hopes to bring more international students to the world of fantasy sports and use the FIFA World Cup as a way to connect with other clubs and expand PFS.

Samuel is an economics major from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Consequently Sam is a massive pittsburgh sports fan as well as a fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Recently Sam became a member of the Penn State cheer team and hopes to represent PFS at beaver stadium on game days. Moreover, as the IM chair Sam hopes to increase PFS’ presence in the leagues as well as incorporate more plying of sport into the club itself.

Outreach and Social Media Chair

Arman Tang: ast5391@psu.edu

Arman Tang is a Junior majoring in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management (RPTM). He has lived in both Southeast Asia and various places around the U.S., currently residing in DC. The 49ers are and will always be his favorite sports team, but Arman is a huge fan of other Bay Area sports teams as well. He is a firm believer that Trey Lance will become MVP and the 49ers will win a Super Bowl within the next five years. Arman has participated in various fantasy sports league for about a decade now and hopes to share his passion for fantasy sports with PFS in whatever way he can. He is very excited to be a part of BMFL2, which will be his first dynasty league. As Outreach and Social Media chair, he hopes to further promote and build the PFS brand, as well as increase involvement. So far, he has yet to win an IM Championship, but he believes that will change this fall with a PFS IM Team.
