For the topo concept, I have decided to work with Vans hi-tops. They have an unsymmetrical form but a consistent overall shape and should be interesting to work with (challenging but not too challenging). In the Fusion 360 image, I have put together the sketches I have drawn out (to scale) of the shoes and will use these aligned sketches to form the model.

In this assignment, the goal is to create an “engraving” and an “etch” layer to the personal logo. The etch layer is for anything that needs to have etched rendered in a black fill. The engraving layer is for anything that needs to define an edge of an etching rendered with a kerf-sized black stroke.
In my case, I didn’t need to etch anything out or add a stroke because I am aiming to have the vinyl cutter cut out the white as one piece as part of the Gestalt design aspect.
