WELLSBORO, Pa. — The ballots are in! Millions of people worldwide have voted to recognize the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon as one of the Seven Okay-est Wonders of the World.
Pine Creek Gorge, as it is officially known, spans forty-seven miles of north-central Pennsylvania wilderness, and has been vaguely amazing its visitors since its designation in 1968.
“It’s alright,” said tourist Nancy Holder.
“Yeah, it’s fine,” shrugged sightseer Max Daniel.
“The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon is, by far, the biggest ditch that I have ever laid my eyes on,” marveled ditch-digger Bill Everett. “And, I have certainly seen my fair share of ditches!”
Visiting the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon has proved an excellent alternative to basking in the majesty and humbling awesomeness of the actual Grand Canyon.
“For my vacation, I wanted to see the Grand Canyon without its breathtaking beauty and unfathomable depths, and so I traveled to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon,” said visitor Marissa Leach.
Employees at the Pine Creek Gorge State Park are delighted by their workplace’s latest distinction as an Okay-est Wonder of the World.
“Look, this is just a job,” sighed Troy Fuller, gift shop cashier.
Other destinations universally considered worthy of the moniker Okay-est Wonder of the World include the Earth’s smallest mountain, Mount Wycheproof, and the swimming pool at the Marriott Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
