Oh my God, we’re so sorry: Phroth accidentally cancelled THON this year

oops

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Penn State annual THON dance marathon was cancelled by Phroth this year. We’re so sorry, it was a complete accident.

Everybody fucks up once in a while, right? Well, Phroth Humor Publication, Penn State’s favorite source of hilarious satire and comedy, has accidentally cancelled Penn State’s favorite source of raising money for childhood cancer. Our bad.

It’s kind of funny, really, if you think about it. Little ol’ us cancelling the biggest student dance marathon in the country? That’s pretty ridiculous, right? You see, we accidentally went into 25Live, the Penn State Software for room reservation, to schedule one of our meetings in the Bryce Jordan Center and deleted the event. We just clicked through too fast, I guess. When we refreshed the page, Penn State Sailing Club already set a new reservation for February 21-23. Not cool, right?

“The Bryce Jordan Center hasn’t been available for our sailing competitions since 1972,” said Georgia McMahon, president of PSU Sailing. “We have several men on deck keeping a close eye on the reservation. Finally, sailing trumps THON!”

So it’s not totally our fault, actually. We’re still really sorry though that this happened. Next year, we’ll make sure that we don’t screw around in the room reservation software. Live and learn right? Here, I’ll even donate toward next year’s cause right now. Let me just figure out how to use the THON website.

Wait, is this the button to donate? Oh shit.

Is this a bad time to plug our newest magazine, coming out in March of 2020? Find it in one of our Phroth Boxes, located in most of the major buildings at Penn State!
