20 years in Afghanistan: What pulling out and the return of the Taliban means for America’s foreign policy

By a 4-year-old boy

MY ROOM, USA! –  My name is Tommy and I heard of a big a scary thing on my ipad about mean guys in twucks getting in charge of a place called “Afghanistan.” It was crazy!

They were like doing bad stuff and I heard they were doing bad stuff before. They are like Mayor Humdinger in Paw Patrol and we are the puppies. It’s sad!

I think Paw Patrol is my favorite show but I also saw Family Guy once and it was really weird cuz I didn’t know what was happening.

My parents were mad. I couldn’t watch tv for a week! They took my Ipad away! We should do this to the Taliban.

My older brother was really nice to me until he started middle school. My mommy said that he is going through stuff.

What does that mean?!

He’s so weird!

I wanna send him to Afghanistan in a box as punishment.

I asked to play steam roller with him and he said no!

I hate him!

But I think Afghanistan is like my sister! Gross!

I’m laughing!

But the Taliban also sounds a lot like my Daddy’s work.

They’re mean to him and don’t let him get home until really late and we never get to play catch which makes me so sad because he said he would teach me how to this fall.

For Daddy’s work, I also think we should send them to Afghanistan in a box.

I think what will fix Afghanistan is giving them a dog. It will make them happy.

One time my dog, Sadie, ate so much candy corn that she threw up all over the carpet and we still have a stain there.
