I can’t believe it’s our last “official” week of PIRE. On the bright side, we recently received news that we will be able to continue collecting data into the fall. Thank goodness! I am so thankful to be able to continue running this study and see how much data I can collect in the next few months.

This past week we had our meeting with UCI and it was super cool to hear what everyone has been working on. I loved hearing stories about the difficulties each person has been pushing through because of the pandemic. Everyone is so resilient. As well as meeting with UCI, I was able to run a few participants, which was super interesting. I think my favorite part of this opportunity has been meeting new people in Puerto Rico. I love talking to everyone and hearing about their lives, especially with the COVID-19 situation.

In the upcoming weeks we will be working through the beginning stages of coding our data…It will be an interesting experience coding the eye tracking data the “old-fashioned” way, but I’m looking forward to seeing the data come together. Along with that, I will be contacting and scheduling as many participants as I can before the semester starts and I have less time to do so. I’m so excited to see how everything turns out!
