The National Science Foundation just announced that Shawn Murdzek has been awarded one of their prestigious graduate fellowships to continue his graduate studies. Shawn will begin his Ph.D. studies at Penn State in the Fall 2019 semester, where he will be studying the microphysical aspects of supercell thunderstorms, including their influence on tornado formation.
