Crosswaters Ecolodge is an ambitious work of architecture that encompasses multiple different aspects of design, impressively blending different design theories into a cohesive master plan. As the first ecotourism destination in China, the ecolodge is designed to be environmentally conscious, built with recycled or reused local materials like bamboo, clay, and marble. It is also socially and culturally conscious, hosting buildings and gardens that are designed with Fengshui layouts and orientation to promote spiritual well-being. The site plan includes a nature activity center, recreation center, conference center, wellness center, trails, and several gardens.
