Hayden Plaza was a site renovation project completed in 2016, in the central city neighborhood of New Orleans. The plaza was designed as a public space to be accessible by tourists, local residents, and the New Orleans Civil Rights Community, surrounding a focal point of sculpture, by artist Frank Hayden, dedicated to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community engagement was performed across multiple venues and over an extended period of time, to inform the eventual built installation.
