Nia Gordon is a graphic designer, art director, and creative thinker with a thrill for visual storytelling. Growing up, Nia looked up to her mother for a variety of reasons, but mainly her hard-working personality. This inspired Nia to go to school where she became a first-generation college graduate. She studied Graphic Design at Virginia State University, graduating with a BFA in Visual Communications followed by an MFA in Graphic Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. As a designer, she strives to demonstrate emotion through her work, aiming to create meaningful concepts while delivering a message to the audience. When asked if her culture plays an essential role in her designs she said, “Culture is my entire design process, you can see it in my work. Being an African American woman, I’m very influenced by my people, peers, and culture.” Throughout her career, she has been involved in and supported many African American injustice movements.
