About Project Unity
Our Mission…
Project Unity is a student-led art project dedicated to promoting unity within our communities. Our mission is to inspire unity by bringing awareness to injustices in our society and how we, as a community, can work together to change the world for the better through all forms of artwork. This project will feature artwork submitted by students, family, friends, alumni, and anyone else who would like to participate. We hope that, through the expressive medium of artwork, we can achieve our goal and make strides towards an inclusive and unified world.
How Can You Get Involved?
If you are an avid artist, or even like to create artwork for fun, you can participate in Project Unity and help make a difference! You can do so by creating artwork, following any of the themes provided below, in any medium of art: painting, drawing, photography, literature, ceramics, or any other form of art you can think of. This is a chance to express yourself through artwork: to share your culture, your experiences related to social or racial justice, your thoughts on achieving unity, and more. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional artist, or just do art as a hobby, we want to see your artwork!
What Are the Themes?
“We Stand In Unity”
Create a piece of artwork which expresses what unity looks like to you or what you think can be done to achieve unity.
“Together We Walk”
Create a piece of artwork which displays an act of unity, support for social and racial justice, or showing what you can do to help end social and racial injustice.
“The World Today”
Create a piece of artwork that shares your thoughts and/or experiences of the world today, and the events happening in it.
