ESM Mentoring Kickoff Event

A panel discussion on mentoring topics and the program will be held on September 8th from 11:30am to 1:00pm in Room 117 EES. The event will feature a free Doan’s Bones BBQ lunch. Come ask alumni questions about your career and goals to get you on the right path.

The ESM Mentoring Program

The Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM) Mentoring Program connects future engineers with professionals who can help them succeed in their academic and professional lives. A one-on-one relationship is created between a current student, either undergraduate or graduate, and an alumnus or alumna for guidance, information, and networking related to the student’s professional development.

The mentoring program matches students with a mentor based on the student’s area of interest and the type of industry he or she is interested in. The matching process will occur shortly after the student completes and submits the ESM Mentoring Program Sign-up Form for Students, and thereafter, both the student and mentor will receive an email to initiate the relationship.
