2011 NASA Intern
Zuqun Li, an upper division aerospace major at Penn State University, participated in the undergraduate research project to measure the Milky Way Galaxy and was a NASA intern at the Johnson Space Center for Spring 2011, where he worked on a project in distributed space systems simulation. The objective of the project is to develop a model of a general lunar orbital vehicle and integrate it into an High Level Architecture (HLA) based distributed simulation. Zuqun spent his first two years at Penn State Abington and participated in the National Radio Astronomy Observatory project. Zuqun was one of the authors of a poster presented at the American Association of Physics Teachers national meeting and was a student leader of the project during the second year he participated. In 2012, Zuqun attended the 2012 NASA SISO Smackdown in Orlando, Florida. The Simulation Smackdown is an effort to promote better understanding of modern modeling and simulation through hands-on mentoring and participation with modeling and simulation practitioners.
